The best thing about building a business online is that you have options. There are dozens of ways to promote your blog and get exposure. There are some that will be more effective than others and some you?ll enjoy more than others, but here are some of the techniques I use and if you begin implementing them right now you can go from 0 to hundreds, even thousands of? blog visitors a day in no time.
Create Cash Pulling Content
We?ve all heard that in the world of online entrepreneurship, content is King! We?ll I like to think that content is CASH because if you consistently write great content, the traffic just comes!
And we all know that the more traffic the more leads, sales and money you make. PERIOD.
Great content has the ability to create viral buzz, regular visitors and other authority sites will want to link to you. I tend to write 4-5 blog posts a week making sure I write with the intent of attracting a specific type of traffic to my site. Do you have to write a blog post everyday?
If you are new to blogging?ABSOLUTELY!
If you enjoy writing content and have the time?SURE!
As my online business grows I find that i can write 2 ? 3 really awesome posts a week, spend a little more time on them to make sure they are incredible and get the same if not more traffic than if I was to write everyday. But that came with practice and building on the momentum of building a following first.
The first step to creating cash pulling content is to come up with a blog post title that demands attention. There is a ton of competition out there and you have to stand out. Think of your title as the gateway to traffic. A blog post with the title ?5 Ways To Get More Leads on Facebook ?, is okay and would probably get you a few looks. But what if you took a few more minutes to come up with something a little more creative like ?5 Facebook Secrets That Pulled Me 4 Figures A Month on Autopilot?. Now that is the type of post that will peak curiosity and get you backlinks. People are desperately searching for something new, something of value and something they can use immediately to get their desired results.
You have make sure your content is 10x better than anything else your competition is providing. Is it hard to come up with creative content?NO! Just put a little more thought into capturing your target readers attention. Don?t just offer a post about how to make money on Facebook, but include a list of top earning marketers who have mastered Facebook marketing. The most important thing is to become that ?go-to resource? that people seek out because you know how to continually offer value.
Creative Content and Top Lists
What good is it to create content that no one sees. Creative content has sent me hundreds of thousands of visitors, given me top rankings on Google, and features on some of the most highly respected blogs. The more traffic you get the more money you make online. That is the bottom line.
Creative content is not hard, in fact one of the easiest pieces of content is to create what?s called a ?top list? post. An example of this would be ?10 Entrepreneurial Lessons From Oprah Winfrey?. The benefit of this type of content is that it instantly draws your attention, and it gives the reader a sense that they are going to get a quick, to the point read. These types of blog posts are fast to write and easy to outsource if you find your time is limited.
Fan Fare: How To Get 1000s of Blog Visitors, Facebook Fans and Twitter Followers
Your job is to keep people in front of your content. The easiest way to do this is through blogging and leveraging social media sites. Facebook and Twitter bring thousands of dollars in additional income to my online business. These two sites alone bring me tons of traffic with little effort. It?s important to understand that leads and subscribers are not limited to your email list. Think of your Facebook Fans, Twitter Followers, Pinterest Pinners and YouTube subscribers as your open source mailing list.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is the most important step to driving a constant stream of FREE (yet targeted) traffic from Google. This is the missing link for many online marketers who are constantly creating content but not getting the results they desire. Taking 5 extra minutes to do a little keyword research can be the difference between having passive residual income and going no where fast.
Whenever you set out to create a new blog post, make sure you keep in mind what people are searching for on Google. For example, if your blog teaches people how to make money blogging, you?ll want to create content that uses competitive search terms in your niche, such as make money blogging, bloggers make money, online marketing blog, etc.Your keywords should be included in your titles, blog content, URLs, blog description, and meta tags. What are you doing to get them to land on your site and take action?! The reason why I have one of the top online marketing blogs in the world is because I focused on making myself a credible, reputable source that people listen to and follow. You should be working every single day to market your online business in a way that positions you as a? ?go-to resource? in your marketing space.
A few things to remember:
Be authentic! People don?t want a clone of your competition, they want to get to know you. What makes you different from all the other marketers online? What makes you unique? What makes you worth following? What makes you entertaining, engaging, interesting?
Don?t be afraid to be different.

Be An Inspiration To Others
More than anything, people want to find leaders that inspire them. They want to follow people they can relate to and they want to feel that if you can do it, they can to. Everyone loves a success story, so be personal and share yours. Be transparent, be real, be willing to share not only your wins but your failures as well. Include pictures, share your progress, share your mistakes. Encourage and motivate people in a way that gives them the confidence to feel they can achieve the same success as you. Look, I?m a stay at home mom, who left a 6-figure corporate job, with nothing but a desire to provide a certain lifestyle for my family. I had no plan and no clue how to build a business online, yet I figured it out and now have a profitable business that allows me to works a couple hours a week and spend time doing the things that matter most to me. So you see, if I can do it, you can too!
How To Be Everywhere
Everybody is looking for the mother load when it comes to traffic, but a huge part of my traffic comes from the little things I did when i first started online. Building an email list, blog commenting, shooting videos, being active on social media, etc.
Traffic should not be coming from 1 or 2 places online, you should be getting a little bit here and a little bit there. That means you have to find a way to be everywhere.? The more places you are online to more chances you have to drive traffic back to your blog. So get out there, be seen, comment on other people?s blogs, comment on their fan pages, comment on their squidoo pages, retweet, do guest posts, add links to your emails, business cards, online profiles. It all adds up!!
