Job Description

The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is seeking a highly motivated individual to fulfill a key role in its annual fundraising operations.

Main duties include event and trip planning and coordination; daily gift processing and acknowledgement; and staff support for board activities.
This is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Festival?s Director of Development.

The Event and Donor Relations Manager:
? Works closely with the Director of Development, Special Events and Gala Committee Chairs, and other Board volunteers
? Takes the lead in planning and execution of all special fundraising and donor cultivation events, including the Festival?s annual Gala
? Organizes, coordinates and staffs one to two donor trips annually
? Is responsible for timely and accurate execution of gift data entry, gift reporting, donor acknowledgements, and donor file maintenance
? Serves as staff liaison for the Festival?s Board of Trustees, answering questions and preparing and distributing meeting minutes and other materials
? Supervises the Festival?s summer Development/Front Office Intern

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, creative, forward-thinking and flexible, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Must be willing and able to work as part of a team.
Bachelor?s degree required; experience with special-event planning, relational databases and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word, Excel and Publisher) also a must.
Graphic design skills and knowledge and understanding of chamber music desirable but not required.

Position entails evening and weekend hours; some lifting of up to 40 pounds; some standing; and periodic use of one?s own reliable personal vehicle.
